Are the needs of the few more important? Are the needs of the many more important? Or is it situational? I would like your thoughts, I'm writing a paper for a leadership class I'm in.

It's highly situational as it really depends on the "needs" and whether one set of needs cannot be met due to meeting the other set.

To help yourself think through this, construct a several scenarios where the needs are of several severities, i.e. very dangerous to nice to have, inversely vary the needs of the few and many and see if it helps.

This is a very grey area and here's why. The Constitution of the United States protects the rights of the few from the many that might want to take those rights away. If the many were allowed to prevail then how bad could it be? Very in my opinion. And the many should be careful how they treat the few because some day they may need the few. One of my favorite sayings is..."never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups".....

that would depend on what is needed. ex: if there are 10 people who are critically ill, there need would be greater than 20 who are feeling ill. this is not a situation that can be generalized.
