Are you very far along?? I am 37 weeks, and I had trouble breathing. I was at the Dr. yesterday, and it's normal. The baby is just taking up so much room, it pushes on your diaphragm. Once the baby drops, it is supposed to be easier to breath.

Uh, I don't know that pregnancy itself could be a cause for hard breathing... But take this into account, since you probably have gained weight ( I'm assuming u are in the 5th month or above, if not it could be a respiratory problem, go see a doctor!), it probably takes more effort on your part to do stuff, hence you need to breath harder and faster. I'd recommend for you to relax.

I didn't have any difficulty breathing until my uterus started pushing up past my belly button. That usually happens around the half way point. I was light headed at the beginning of my pregnancy but that was just because I was so exhausted. I hope that helps
