Okay, I'm a 15 year old, and I'm moving to Toronto, Canada with my family. I've never been there, and I jez want to find out how people will treat me, I'm from Russia...are people nice in the High Schools, or is it like in the American movies?
Are people smart, or okay-ish, or what?
Are they crazy about boyfriend/girlfriend like in the US?
What do people wear? Things they do? Popular places to visit? Some good schools?
Please help, I'm desperate!+D

Privet! It all depends where in Toronto you move to. There are places where there are large Russian emigre communities all over the city. I'm sure your parents will know some friends once you get here. Best thing to do is meet some of your parents' friends kids your own age, and let them introduce you to life in Canada. I've lived and worked in Russia and Ukraine, and i can tell you that although it might look different and some things may work differently here, kids are kids with all the same problems and dreams all over the world. You'll be all right. Poka i shchastlivo!

Rockera, welcome to Toronto. I ,live about 3 hours north of this large city. Kids there are the pretty well the same as kids everywhere, believe that they are falling in love with anyone that they hook up with. There are many places of culture there, Art Gallery of Ontario, nice theatres, lots of sporting events, and a lot of world class rock concerts as well as music for anyone's likes. Hopefully you will find Canadians as very welcoming and friendly people who are quite capable of laughing at themselves. The weather patterns are cold in winter, beautiful in spring and fall and can get quiet hot in the summer. You should google or do a search on the internet to learn more about this new environment that you and your family are going to be finding yourself in. Again I do hope that you also come to love this country which I call home as much as I do. Best of luck to you and I hope that you fit in with your peers very well also.
