Have you tried Yaz Birth Control Pills? What can I expect vs. Yasmin?

I am currently on Yasmin, but will be switching to Yaz after this pill pack. What changes can I expect as far as spotting throughout the month, cramps, period length, etc...Please tell me everything you can, especially those who have been on it :-)

And am I likely to gain weight even though I didn't on Yasmin?

I tried Yasmin and had a hard time during the first week of use such as with mood swings. Six months in to using it I had a problem with breakthrough bleeding so had to go off.

The difference between the Yaz and Yasmin is that the Yaz has a lower dose of the hormones in it. You may notice some breakthrough bleeding for a bit because of the dosage while starting out but as for period length there shouldn't be much change.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
