Thinly sliced aubergines (eggplant) lightly battered and fried, drained on kitchen towel and served with runny honey. Sounded pretty strange but it is heavenly to eat, believe me. Other things I wasn't keen on but converted to were snails in garlic, mussels cooked live in a pan with white wine, cream and garlic. When the shells open they are cooked (in the steam). I was scared to try them (felt a bit cruel) but was assured they don't feel a thing hmmmmm!!!! Couldn't hardly ask them could I ha!!! Years ago had snake. Chinese friends told me it was chicken. I had already eaten some (in a soup) when they all laughed and told me it was snake. Unbelievable hey??? Don't think anyone else has done that one.

Chocolate mole over roasted chicken -- mmmmm! who would have thought that a savory sauce made with chocolate as a main ingredient would taste so incredible with chicken!
for those who want to try: go to an upscale Spanish restaurant, like the Jalapeno in Annapolis MD.

Mango Pancakes, its like blueberry, but with fresh organic mango. I fell in LOVE. Also, macaroni and cheese (annies organic whole wheat shells and cheddar works the best) and salsa, then eat it with your favorite tortilla chips. Seriously, sounds gross, but its AWESOME! There is some good indian food too, but I cant remember what it was called
