On a test mark write over it with a dry erase marker. Let it sit for a minute and wipe it with a damp paper towel. There may be some slight discoloration after but it can be removed with the aforementioned alcohol, mr. clean, 409, orange glow...etc.

damp scruby and a little ajax should get rid of it.
But it really depends on the type of desk. If it's a wood desk forget the ajax.

Try using rubbing alcohol to see if it will come off or nail polish remover. Good Luck O=)

get a new desk or color ur whole desk with the sharpie so then it will be on color i bet ur boss wont even notice =]
