As the above mentioned, you are really asking what "Internet browsers" people are using.
I've used Netscape, Internet Explorer, and Firefox since the mid-90's. Initially my favorite was Netscape until IE 4 came out. After that, I bounced between IE and Netscape until Netscape 7 was available. I eventually tried Firefox and have been using it as my browser of choice since then. IE is still used to download the MS updates on my MS systems while Firefox is used on my non-MS systems (Solaris, RedHat, and Suse).
I've heard a lot of good things about Opera and will give it a shot before too long.

Ya, Opera and Safri are good browser for the Mac. Opera is the only browser that completely passes the Web standards ACID2 tet to protect you from phishing sites. Their are some nuisances though, like the buil-it bittorent client in Opera (which is hard to keep disabled) and the widjets for Opera are useless because once you close the broswer.... Firefox stole some thing from Opera so it is feature rich but not as extensible as Firefox like the google search in the address bar (just hit Ctrl-L and type "g search item" without quotes and press enter).
It is fast and resource friendly compared to Firefox though, but Firefox has extensions which I've grown to love. Could not imagine surviving without mouse gesture on a laptop trackpad (integrated into Opera). But the gmail and yahoo mail notifiers and the Gspace FTP client to use your gmail as an ftp server makes it king.
IE7? Microsoft should just give up and embrace Firefox/Opera/Safari.
Firefox is cross platform for Windows, OS X, Linux/BSD and Solaris and the extensions work cross platform too. What a great web browser.
