I love that kind of music, specially the modern rock. In my opinion, it is the best music genre next to Metal because their sounds are unique. No other genre would compare to them because they are the best forever and ever!

Rock is a pretty broad term. Do you know how many sub genres there are of rock and equal amount of sub genres for the sub genres? Take metal for example, one of the sub genres of rock. In metal you have hair metal, thrash, shred, hardcore, metalcore, black, death, mathcore, neo-classical and nu-metal are the ones that come to mind but Im sure Im forgetting some more.
To answer your question, I like most rock but not all of it. As you can tell im a fan of metal but dont like emo

Hot funk, cool punk, even if it's old junk, it's still rock and roll to me. .... Everybody's talkin' bout the "new sound"; funny, but it's still rock and roll to me.
Just take them old records off the shelf; I'll sit and listen to 'em by myself. Today's music ain't got the same soul. Still like that old time rock and roll.

I love rock music it is empwering the bass and great guitar riff together are so great their like everything. when your listening to it you feel like the world is melring away and there it is going right through you it is amazing!
and then there is the other type of rock which is fun listening to and another type of rock which has great meaning and can be quite emotional soemtimes.

I know the term 'Rock' is very broad, but ive found that when i try to give my music taste an overall term for explanitory purposes, ROCK is the one that works best..

rock music is the best!!the lyrics of many of the songs have some drift not like some pop songs which talks only for love and dissociations...
