The lady I work with is kinda a Halloween freak. She wants me to come as a zombie. Dressing up in costume to come to work is really not my thing! Especially when I work as a partswoman. I sell industrial parts, and feel extremely silly wearing a costume in front of farmers! But, I don't want her to feel out of place. I just need some "understated" costume ideas!

how about some fake tools around your belt? at least there's something related with your job. may make you feel better.

A zombie is easy it's really about the make up. Light make up and shadows around your eyes
Add some flour to your clothes so they appear dusty and tear them a bit if possible

Do you watch 'The Office'? If you do, dress like Pam by wearing a skirt to work and make a "Dunder-Mifflin' name bagde. It's that easy.

A male suit, (vintage plaid if you have time to shop)
a big bow tie, (a scarf tied around your neck)
and big top hat.
Don't forget a tea cup, glued to a saucer as a prop!

well, a guy where i used to work didn't like costumes and didn't dress up, he just said he was wearing his "george" costume....

as long as you do not alientate any one or broach on pc wear something interestinfg.
