Multiple personalities which make parts of the main personality, and conciousness of this situation means mental sanity and interior wealth. It's what we define in psychology as concious role palying, giving thus the chance of expression and exhaust to the different aspects of the same complicated personality.
In case of non conciouness or fragmental conciousness of the above we can talk about hysteria, which is definately a nevrosis.
So, yes to multiple personalities, at least to those who are gifted with them and they don't belong to the common flock....

I dont know. My dad goes into these manic states and he acts like a complete different person. He doesnt claim to be someone else but he is different. I think there are people out there that fake their mental health problems to get attention or to get on disability so It's really hard to say who is faking it and who is not. Is it possible that people can really have a multiple personality disorder? yes I think so but the hard part is telling who is faking.

Yes, there is such a condition. Have someone I used to know that claimed she had this condition. If you want to know more, look @ the sites below. It s also called DID.

Yes, unfortunately, you don't have to be insane to have multiple personalities. It's often-times, a form of protection against all that is liable to harm you. It can sometimes, be someone's own form of safety barrier.

Depends what you mean. there is a disorder that causes people to have multiple personalities.....or sometimes there are people that hide there real feelings and let no one know. so they pretend to have different feelings

Well of course I do. No way- doesn't exist. Not sure really- could go either way. What do you think? There is no such thing. Sure- some people have many different personalities. Could be- maybe. I don't know.

Yes..there are all types of crazy mental disorders out there..ive actually watched scientific shows on that disorder on tv!!!

I think MPD is a fairly well documented condition; what I don't think is real is ADD. Teachers love this diagnosis because it makes them feel they are not just mind-numbingly dull.
