Define "medical costs." Is that what the consumer pays directly to the medical provider? Is it what the provider charges the insurance company? Does it include the amounts paid from your taxes? Does it include all the salaries paid to the bureaucracies need to manage the government provided health care allocated on a per claim basis?

It is true that we have the lowest life expectancy in the developed world and we also have the highest medical costs. No we are not getting what we are paying for. This is why it is important to vote Democratic in the elections next year. The Democrats have a plan, unlike the Republicans, to address this and other issues. It may not be a perfect plan and may not even be the best plan but it IS a plan.

We certainly don't get our money's worth from our health care dollars, and do have the highest medical and drug costs in the world.

Electing a Republican will only make it worse.
