You can't "keep it in" but you can try and influence the process. The best ways to avoid going into labor are: spend as much time as possible lying on your side (not your back or the pregnancy puts pressure on the vena cava, an important source of blood for the fetus); stay well hydrated (drink lots of water); avoid spicy foods; stay calm and avoid anything that stresses or excites you.
Honestly, based on the doctor's description i'd be suprised if you don't go into labor for two more weeks, but by staying still and well hydrated you may get another couple days.
Good luck.

Sore muscles just mean that you are very pregnant. Not a sign of labor.

All in all, you can't really stop your labor from coming naturally. The only way to do that is to go to the hospital and be given medication to stop contractions once labor has begun.

However, many a woman's body has been all geared up and ready for weeks prior to her due date. I'm sure you will make it another couple of weeks.

Just because she says you could have it any day really doesn't mean much. We all get ready for delivery at vastly different rates.

Having said that, if your baby is ready to come, he/she will not care if you have people living with you until mid month. Baby will come when it wants to.

i don't know what you can do to avoid early labor, besides taking it easy. as far as the pain goes, it is your sciatic nerve. and sometimes the pain will go away if the baby shifts or moves, but sometimes the only cure for that is to actually give birth.
Good Luck

you cant determine the day or time that your baby is born, your baby can be low down and in good position for weeks before you have your baby, just relax and enjoy the time you have before your baby is born because it will be all hands on deck when your kid is born.
Good luck and hope all goes well.

That baby is gonna come when he/she wants to, no matter who is living with you! Make sure you let your house guests know it could be any day now so they are prepared to help you out. Good Luck and Congratulations!!

No and no. You'll pop whenever your body decides it is ready to. Just take it easy on the strained muscle while you can- you're gonna have a lot more of them real soon.

Congratulations!! ;-)

Bed rest, really. They tell women who are HOPING to go into labor to go on long walks, eat spicy food, castor oil, etc. Avoid anything that would cause extra stress on your body.

If you don't want the baby to come yet, don't do anything just rest and relax until your ready.
