An annual celebration of the second amendment maybe on a Saturday...possibly the first Saturday of October...and on that day those who support the second amendment would gather and have target shooting competitions, gun safety class's, gun shows ......Who in YA would support such a proposal??...who thinks this is a bad idea??

If guns were banned we would all join hands and recite poetry together.

The only problem is we cannot get people who disobey the laws of human decency to obey any laws.

If we were to ban guns then it would only make genocide and crime much easier for dictators and criminals.

Because there are bad humans it s necessary for the good ones to arm themselves.

If decent human beings refuse to take up arms against the evil ones that does not mean they are peaceful, just the opposite. If you do not defend yourself and others you are complicit in genocide and murder.

I believe that a Second Amendment Day would be a great tool to drive that home. It might also remind people from other nations that they do not have such freedom and it might get them to demand to be released from slavery.

Without the Second Amendment the rest don't hold water. They just fall through the cracks.

It should be on November 17, as on that day in 1871 the NRA was formed.
or
December 15 - the day that the Second amendment was ratified in 1791.
hmm, that may be too close to Christmas.
How about September 21, the day it was submitted to the states for ratification.

i actually think its a good idea. most people are scared of guns because of what it can do, but if they learn more about it (like they do the weather) they can relax.

I myself was terrified of anything that shoots (except water gun) but when my boyfriend at the time took me shooting and I started to feel more comfortable with a gun, i wasn't so uptight.

knowledge is power!! lol

It's a horrible idea. If guns were banned globally we could start living in peace. It's not the wild, wild, west anymore folks...
