I met someone one night, never saw him again, but we've kept in touch over the years (it's going on 7 years). I can't even say I remember what he looks like, but he's been there for me (on the phone) whenever I needed someone. He knows I'm engaged and have a two year old son. Before I met my fiance, this guy and I would make plans to see each other, but it would always fall through somehow. We're so in tune with each other, and we've both often questioned why things went the way they did. Life is funny.....

Yes Gentleman I can say I knew this young lady for a brief period, lost her, and never got over it.Now this was more than a one time meeting but actually covered a span of a couple of years.I was a year older but we were like 16 and 17.I don;t even think it was teo years we knew each other. But at that time Home was where I hung my hat.She fell in love with me and I with her.You could call it a torrid love affair. However I was too stupid to be true and let my Ego get in the way.I went out with several of her dirlfriends on flings.I was foolish to believe they would not tell her.But this young Hispanic lady I really loved with all my heart and if there was any way to undo what I had done I would have done it.I have been heart-broken ever since with only my own indiscretion to blame. She shortly married and moved away.I may have met her more than just one particular time. But we did know each other for just that brief span of time. Many times I have nearly come to tears wondering why I had been such a fool. She was funny, easy-going, mellow , we got along superb.....I'm telling you Gentleman even now my Macho ignorance is almost more than I can bear.I never stopped to consider that the mate perfect for you mostly only comes once in your lifetime. Now I must live with the pain of losing her an eternity. That was over 40 years ago but to me it may as well have been yesterday.. Above I meant two not teo years Also I meant I went out with her girlfriends and not dirtfriends

Oh my god, that's so weird you said that! I'm married and I love my husband so much, he's so hot; however, when I was 16 my parents used to rent a house "down the shore" and the kid next door to me was so bad azz, I worshiped him. I have never forgotten about him either lol. Wow crazy

I can't say that has happened to me but I am sure it happens quite often.

I have dated a person and still think of them to this day..not in a loving way, of course.

The love of my life, I married twice. We still love each other and have almost married again twice. We seem to get re-engaged every few years.

I did not mean to rhyme.
