You would have to be pretty old for remembering Dr, Kildare and Dr Ben Casey on the TV series... But I was about to have surgery and was in la- la- land right before the surgery--The TV series was real big at that time-- I told the Dr's in the room that I would not let them operate unless he was Dr Kildare. When I woke-- i was the laughing stock of the hospital.

The funniest event comes to mind when I said little to nothing, but I had just retired from the U.S. Army and was dreaming I was making a parachute jump.
The next moment I was in my darkened bedroom, standing flat footed on the floor in a parachute exit form, and naked as a jaybird. My wife will never let me forget that experience even if I tried to forget.

My 8 yr old son awoke from surgery and was still groggy.
All he could remember when he woke up was the dr. giving him a shot before he went to sleep. So, apparently he woke up still mad about the shot and told the (Chinese) doctor,
"I HATE CHINA"!! I was mortified!! All I could come up with to say was "kids say the weirdest things when they wake up, dont they?" Still cracks me up though...

Once my cousin (who was 6 at the time) stayed over our house. In the middle of the night, he woke up screaming: "My bike! My bike! Gimme my bike!!" then just went back to sleep.
