Take a momentous event in your life, build fictional characters, and take the plot in a direction your event did not go. You're the boss on how you want it to end regardless how the event turned out with you.

just go on with your routine, you don't need to push yourself to write, otherwise it's not going to be natural. just go on and before you knew it you have already written your story.
