I'll take this question into its two parts. For the first, I would say that the answer is yes. At times, I do hate my life. I hate the path that I have chosen and, looking upon it, regret nearly every moment that I have spent on this Earth.
Yet, there is a bright side. I recognize that there is always someone worse off. My depression would seem like happiness to the guy who lost his arm to some explosive device of the cruelty of his 'fellow man.' What right do I have to be depressed when this guy can find the strength within himself to keep on living.
Now for the second question. If you open up the newspaper, you will read of hundreds of stories that show man's inhumanity to his 'fellow man.' Suicide bombings, killing sprees, and other violent actions to depraved to imagine.
On the other hand, you will also see stories of extreme selflessness. In the modern age, these are harder to find and you actually have to read the full paper before you find this small piece of true humanity at the bottom of the main story which contains bloodshed and violence.
For example, recently there was a story about a man jumping into a raging river to save a woman from drowning. He did not know the woman, but just happened to be passing by and saw her in the river. He carried her to shore and, by the time help arrived, they were both near death. If that man can come close to losing his life for an absolute stranger, then I feel that there is hope for humanity. Maybe this cruel world is not as cruel as we would have been led to believe.
In the end, i must say this. However bad I have it, I think of the better side of things. Someone out there is worse and not all of humanity has gone to hell.
There's always a better day around the corner and all that crap, I guess.

Nope, I'm pretty happy with it. Which is not to say that things couldn't be better. But it's all about attitude. Sometimes the world is cruel to people, but that does not mean we live in a cruel world, just a varied one.

I think the question is too dualistic. There are degrees of hatred in suffering but I don't hate my own life. I assume God meant for me to be born here but I don't think this is the planet for me. Maybe he can dropkick it and put a new one in its place.

IF I lived in places like the Middle East, then I would not be happy with my life. But I do not, so I am very happy.

No, I'm happy to be alive. There are things that I wish that I could change, but that doesn't make me unhappy with this life.

LIFE was a gift of LOVE, to you. If you hate what was given out of Love, what will be your fate? Hate is an all consuming fire, don't be burnt to a crisp! Peace be with you!
