The kitten kept running away from us and hissing so we put him on our deck for 2 days without food and water, then threw him in the back yard to fend for himself for another 2 days. Its kinda like the movie "300" where the cat goes out and fends for itself and comes back a man/warrior. Now the kitten is much more playful and appreciative. He saw how crappy life on the streets was and now wants to hang out.

You are a jerk and an animal abuser. It's too bad that animal control wasn't called on you. I don't know why you have an animal. You obviously have no patience and no smarts.
You are lucky it turned out well. It's no credit to yourself.
It's luck. Is this your first kitten? I have been around cats my whole life. It might shock you that I also read about them. I have a mother who works for a vet and has for years now. I ask her opinion. I check in with the vet on occasion or on here. You would be wise to read a book on kitten and cat behavior. Why do you think you should know it all?

People like you should have to pass an IQ test before being allowed to own an animal.
Shame on you for what you did to that poor cat. You're damn lucky it survived. Kittens particularly are not meant to be outdoors. It could easily have been picked up by a large bird, killed by another cat or a dog or god knows what else. You're lucky it came back to you. Then again, it could be a completely different cat and you probably wouldn't even know the difference would you?
People like you make me sick.

I do not agree with your training technique, whether it worked or not. You should never make a domesticated animal, particularly a young one, live without food or water for any amount of time. Also you shouldn't make them fend for themselves.
Would you like it if you were forced to live out on the street for 4 days with no food or water?
Please never, ever, ever repeat this.

The poor thing should have run away when it had the chance. People like you should be ashamed. Even if this is a made up story for your own entertainment you should be ashamed.
Get yourself a pet rock- then crawl under it.

I don't think you should have a cat or any other animal for that manner. You are an abusive owner and I hope someone reports you so that your kitten can find a patient loving home.

That's hilarious... but seriously you shouldn't let your cat go outside. You'll understand why the first time you see your cat puke up a roundworm onto your pillow, while another roundworm sticks its head out of his anus to look at you, then crawls back in like a piece of spaghetti being slurped up into someone's mouth.
