I think there is a distinct possibility. I saw a program on the Discovery Channel about how a break through in quantum physics has proved the existence of parallel universes.

what if everything we see in the cosmos; stars, planets, are just particles in a much larger universe? would that be a parallel universe? i'm not sure the human mind is able to grasp the idea of infinity though we can certainly conceive of it. i think the modern scientist should step away from the table where they have to put everything into a jar with a label. sure discoveries would go without recognition and trophies, but the rewards would benifit all. at some level we will not be allowed to go forward until we shed our vanity.

This is indeed a very deep concept.
I think its closer to the truth than other theories.
Many quantum and string theorists subscribe to this theory.
Theres some interesting books on the subject..
Thanks for the link, its great morning reading!

There Exists one Universe which we call the Cosmos.
The Universe was Created inside a particular location of HEAVEN which our Creator chose to construct it.
Is the Universe concentric to a location of Heaven? Any cosmological idea is purely speculative.

There is no evidence for them.
They do not resolve the inadequacies of the Copenhagen Interpretation (which is know to be a flawed picture).
And they cannot arise in non-perturbative approaches to solving the maths of QM - in other words they only arise as an anomoly of an approach to performing some calculations in QM.
Hence I think it is ludicrous to treat them as anything other than fiction.

Other universes? Why not? Parallel universes, I think not.

Still as nonsensical as the other eight times I answered that question.
