this may be a bit of a downer after some of you driving the likes of Lamborghinis but the fastest car i have ever been in would have to be a Nissan Skyline R33 GT3 2.5 Litre Turbo with 250bhp we were going pretty fast down the motor way and the needle was over 100

Got a brand new Honda Accord going 135 with 5 of my friends in the car, and no license. That was fun, also got an old BMW going like 130 on the interstate. Want to get a Ferrari and go like 220.

This car may sound gay, but in Italy i drove a hot pink Lamborghini Diablo that was custom made and we got that thing up to around 200.

i had a mustang before and went 120 on a highway. i've driven cars that were actually faster but that was my job as an auto transporter. so while i've driven BMW M6, M5, M3, and Mercedes Benz CLS, SL, with AMG kits, and Porsches, I never broke 40 mph. But i definitely got to 40 quickly.

the fastest i personally rode was my '95 Harley Softail. she wouldn't get above 95 MPH with the throttle pinched, though.

the fastest car i have ridden in was when my buddy took me for a ride in his Dodge Viper. we hit 125 MPH before we came up on some traffic.

Saxo with engine off a space shuttle.

I also drove a mk1 golf with one of those big engines off an ocean liner

That's all about as realistic as 99% of the other answers saying Ferrari, Lambo, etc etc.
