To avoid random stalkers. Consider the fact that the ones who choose to share their profile may not even have true information in it. You do not have a right or need to know the personal information of everyone you see on Yahoo.

I don't even understand what you are asking. I think that if you want to set your profile to private you have every right to, girl or boy. Plus, who are you to say that it's girlie??? What are you even talking about?

Cuz its not all dating and stuff... The women who would look into profiles like that are like 40. My parents age. Ugh

It also keeps their wives and girlfriends/lovers/partners from
being able to keep tabs on their extracurricular activities.
The less infomation they provide; the less of a paper trail they leave for their significant others to stumble upon by mistake.
