Last night we went to bed, then around 2 AM I feel our entire bed shaking. This isn't the first time I have awakened to this. I would say the 3rd? He isn't snoring and I feel like he is somewhat awake? It's weird. He gets up afterwards and cleans up.

I have confronted him before because although we have -masturbated together / watch porn / I have no problem with him masturbating during the day - but this night thing weirds me out?!

Is this normal?

This sounds like a common but difficult situation: you just have different levels of sexual energy. I'm guessing, based on what I've seen in my own bedroom, but he (a teenager or early 20s, right?) might have a stronger sex drive than you do. He, trying to be a nice guy, doesn't want to pressure you into anything. So, he needs to relieve his sexual urgency without forcing you into a sexual role that your body just isn't happy to fill.

Maybe he doesn't think the way I do, but maybe he's trying to be a nice guy and not bother you, and not even let you know there could be a bother. It sounds like he's trying to hide it, to avoid any hint of making it your obligation.

(Put yourself in his place - imagine that he wants to make love once a week, but you want full sexual release every day or two or three. What would you do in the presence of that mismatch? Deprive yourself? Imply that he isn't meeting your needs? Or take up the slack while trying not to make him feel he's doing a bad job?)

A generous lover might reach over and help him masturbate. Tickle his nipples, hold his balls, maybe kiss his penis for a few moments. It will probably weird him out a lot, especially when he tries to figure out the right way to return the affection.

His energy level being different from yours doesn't mean you're a bad lover. If you can acknowledge that somehow, you can be a spectacular lover to him, and not subject your own body to onslaughts that leave you bow-legged for a week.

First let me give you the proper answer. During the sleep the testosterone level increases in the blood and so any (healthy) man has unwilling erections often getting horny. It's not so usual masturbating in the night or during the sleep, but just possible and motivated! At last, let me a critical consideration. In a couple that get along well, there also could be a sexual harmony and in my opinion the occasions to feel the need to get auto-eroticism alone should be rare. A man that continuously masturbate in the bed near his g/f even becomes an inconceivable situation!

i would say no not normal for him a guy to be doing when he has his gf in the bed with him..

but then that wad depend on your life together too if you have a good open relationship with him then maybe try for it most nights ( if you two are up for that) as i take it that he is not doing it when you have had sex that night or if your in the morning then maybe he was looking forward to it too much and needed to relieve some perisher.
but talk to him about it and maybe you can both end up with something new from this
but if he is masturbating after sex then i would be weirded out too

It's pretty normal, but if it bothers you he should be more considerate. Some guys (and girls) really enjoy masturbating to relax, especially if they are having trouble sleeping. It's different than sex shared with others. It doesn't necessarily mean that he's sexually frustrated or unhappy with the sex you two have together. It may just a private thing he likes to escape into.

If I cant get any I will masturbate in the middle of the night. It's not weird. Tell him to keep a folded towel under the bed which he can grab without having to get out.

I know I tell my husband that if it's a week night to not wake me if he wants it when he's up later than me studying. So I dont know if he thinks he cant wake you? But Guys do get hard during the night and alot of it has to do w having to go to the bathroom. The bladder can push on a gland that can make them hard and if they have to go to the bathroom they may have to masturbate in order for the hard on to go away so they can pee. Does he pee when he gets up and cleans up?

Some men get hard again after they've ejaculated one.
If they leave it it will go away, but while its hard there's a real urge to get rid of it.
If he thinks you're asleep he's trying not to disturb you.
If he thought you were awake he might make a move.

If he says its in his sleep and cleans up right after, he's lying. He's awake enough to clean, he's awake enough to know what he's doing.
Unless he starts out doing it in his sleep and keeps going when he wakes up. Let him know you know and maybe sleep naked or without panties. See what he doesn then.
