the roughnecks in the oilfields used to swear by it , but could never get the missus to try it...

Not according to the Myth Busters. They found it did a pretty good job cleaning chrome, though. The other "coke myths" were busted including the steak disintigration one.

I have never heard of that....I don't think I would try it.
However...I have used a can of CocaCola to clean my toilets.
