Um what? Apes evolved form former species. They themselves have not evolved into another species yet. And horses, hippos, giraffes, whales, etc all evolved from former species. And they are in the process of becoming new and different species. Populations are constantly changing and evolving. The changes are just so small that it takes millions of years for new species to result from those changes.

they have! uhg... all those are mammals, which came from the same gene family. and apes didn't change into another species, apes evolved parallel to humans from a common ancestor, just as horses, hippos, giraffes and whales all evolved from a common ancestor, and all of these mammals evolved from an even further back common ancestor. what would lead you to believe they havent changed?

Whales used to be a kind of cow.
These species you mentioned dont drastically evolve for the simple reason, they dont need to.
We developed from our closest ancestors as a result of change in behaviour and diet leading to larger brains, which we used well and continued to develop further.
We are still technically part of the great ape family, our DNA only differs by about 1% to that of a chimpanzee.

It takes thousands of years for species to evolve (for the most part). The other problem is since the layers of rocks continue to change and breakdown and reform, we don't have all of the fossil records from all of history. Species do evolve special characteristics in a shorter period of time, however those species that are simpler are more apt to evolve quicker.

Absolutely every living creature is in a state of constant flux. We are evolving. So are horses, bacteria, fish, and viruses. Remember, evolutionary scale is huge - a few hundred thousand years is like a blink of an eye compared to the length of time it took for complex structures like eyes to develop. To say that horses aren't changing, or haven't changed, is to ignore several hundred million years of fossil data that says otherwise.

But horses have. Hippo's probably have, Whales certainly have, no idea about Giraffes ... but probably. Simple genetics.

Mirco-evolution occurs everyday, this is what the theory of evolution is based. Birds grow longer beaks to get food for instance.
Macro-evolution on the otherhand is a myth. When have you seen a monkey or ape turn into a human, if it happened once it would still be happening. Cats dont breed with dogs to make cogs. If you breed a horse and a donkey you will get a mule, but that is the only way to get a mule. This is because they are sterile. If you take a plant and make a hybrid it to is sterile. So with this tell me how is Macro-evolution possible?

Did you stop and read your question?
Horse and giraffe. Common ancestor? Very likely.
Whales. I lose sleep at night because of the lack of diversity in the Cetacean species... *sigh*

They have evolved - from a previous ancestor. The animals you see now are the product of evolution. Anyone who believes in Creationism now is living blindly against overwhelming evidence. Religious fools who fear death instead of embracing life.
