Smile and nod. You'll find alot of people at church like that, but don't let their insecurities ruin your experience or your enjoyment of the genuinely nice people.

Ignore the jerks, and try to get acquainted with the nice parishioners. I never could figure out why people would misbehave or act snotty when they're at church. It should be the one place where we are all looked upon equally in the eyes of God. But, go figure. Some folks are just nit wits, and just because they're standing in a church isn't going to change that fact.

I am a Catholic and a few people in my Church are like that, people say you should pray for them and don't feel mad or nothing at them. Then you shall go to the gates of heaven with your father. They are the ones who will go in the wrong footsteps and lose faith, but as long as you forgive and love in the eyes of God, you will be rewarded.

They say in science that "opposites attract".

I guess if you showed them compassion, love, sincerety, and your true self, they will change their outlook near you. They will become more warm and friendly and eventually may even thank you - in their hearts deeply for being a good friend.

If a person keeps being a pain, just ignore them and continue your quest for good, friendly people.

Hope this helps :)

The same way you do in any church, you ignore the ones you don't like, and make friends with the ones you do...

Maybe it just seems like that, and they are actually not like that. Try either to get to know them better or maybe ask others who you trust and like to ask a little bit about their impressions.
Or just go over it and don't pay a lot attention to that feeling.

Find a new church or ignore them. I hate when people act holier than thou.

A LOT of people in churches are that way. I myself am Christian, and it hurts me to see how cruel others can be.

Tell them they are going to burn in hell, although if they are old you might hasten this a bit lol
