Pelosi is a San Fransisco politician.
Any mention of the military or putting gays in it is a profanity.
The San Fransisco establishment doesn't even want members of the military showing up there to get their picture taken, gay or otherwise.
They are willing to give up income from naval vessels stationed there and replace it with higher taxes so that the city will be less identified with the military.
They are incrementally ridding the city of ROTC.
They are systemically becoming a de-militarized zone with Nancy leading the way.
Hillary? She fights for nothing except Hillary.

ssssssh ! Don't tell them. There are no gays in the military. Just like Iran.
Besides they are busy helping children now on Fridays anyways. Just one detail at a time. We can not be pressed to enrage each sector individually. We save that for our International relations department.
edit* thanks for the reminder, Madman Speaker has had way too much time out in the sun during SFO Gay Pride parades...
and try getting a Clinton out of the closest anyway?

Don't let the sound bytes fool you. Neither of them gives a hoot about gay rights, or any other issue other than those issues that give them leverage to make it to the next rung on the political ladder. If the issue hurts more than helps they will distance themselves from it, without actually disavowing it completely (flip flops don't earn points either). If the issue is helpful, like getting out of Iraq, they will support it 110% while two stepping around the fact that they supported it.

Democrat and liberal citizens have voted for democrat politicians dating way back to when they held "The House" for 40 years... In hopes of legalizing rights for gays because democrat politicians SAY they're for equal rights (including gays)...
But by popular demand the democrat politicians have lied through their teeth SAYING they support gays (and equal rights) and even during the 40 years when they held "The House" all the jokers voting them into office seeking their support... Are still left holding an empty bag of fruit.

They have already alienated 99% of the people in the military. Why would they want to go for 100%?

Because what they say they stand for and what they actually do are 2 different things. Hillary will say ANYTHING to get a vote, she will not back up her promises with action, as she has already proven.

Because they have enough rights as it is.
