Lisinopril is the generic name of the drug, so pills made by different companies may look different.

Lisinopril is a medicine to lower blood pressure. Your doctor will check in month to make sure it is working for you without side effects. If it isn't working or is causing side effects, he will change the medication.

Lisinopril will definitely lower your BP, I'd take your BP at home or at a pharmacy once or twice a week until your appt. and records the #'s so your Dr will have a good idea of how the medication is working for you (try taking it at different times during the day as well). Also, you're kind of young to have high BP, does it run in your family? You might want to ask your doctor to do some tests, like a renal duplex scan (an ultrasound of your kidneys) because sometimes, in young people, high BP is caused by kidney problems.. better to be safe than sorry!
