Dana D - I called him Vincent because I am a big fan and my mate told me you could not call a dog Vincent, so it had to be. Very contrary.

Madame Kashmir Zeppelin - Mini Dachshund - Named after the Zeppelin song "Kashmir"
Lady Chanel Monroe - Mini Dachshund - Named after Marilyn Monroe and her favorite perfume.
Hopkins - Pit Mix - Named after my favorite actor Anthony Hopkins.
Selena - Pit Mix - Named after the slain Tejano singer.
Steve-O - Golden Retriever - Named after the dude on Wild Boyz. (My teenage son is responsible for that one!)

Well if you have kids, then you might know of a show called the backardigans. There is a character on there named Uniqua. My 3 year old can't pronounce it right so she says giqa. Anyway, when we brought our German Shepard puppy home she started to call her Giqa right away and so that is what we named her.

We found my doggy on the side of the road when he was a tiny puppy. I think someone just put him out. We named him Roadie....haha. Whoever dumped him is missin out on a super cool dog!
Our friend has a cat named P. Diddy, or puffy, or whatever and he changes the cats name everytime P.Diddy or whatever he is now changes his, lol!

Well, the only pet my family technically owned is named "Sprouts," something my older brother just spouted out. My Pagan friend named her dog Nemo, after a movie, something "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" or something like that. To name an animal after a Biblical character is just... odd, though I see how the Egyptian names strike up some interest as well.

Jet was named jet after the engine. He's slowing down now but when he was a kitten and an external door was opened, all you saw was a little black blur.
When anyone was going out or coming in we'd all shout "Where's Jet????"

Yeah lol where do i start...we have fish lots of, a few of their names are The nolan sisters (four of them ) eminem ,ant and dec, gareth (after the pop idol and lol the fish lasted longer than he did ) Alfie the cat after him in Eastenders and Milo the cat after Milo from the Tweenies !

My cat is called Darwin, after Charles Darwin (surprisingly!)
He had the same birthday as me and so does my cat.
We got him from the Blue Cross rescue home and his original name was Ronnie Wiggles so that had to be changed!
