Nope, never. They just stopped giving me shifts. At a variety of places.....

In December 2001 I got "let go" from a job at a convenience store. I had worked there for 23 years. It was right after 9/11 and the owner of the store had lost HIS job in his wife's family's owned business so he decided to run the party store. It was either me or the girl who lived in the apartment in the back of the store, was legally blind and supporting 2 kids on her own. No brain-er. I was out.
Turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. And he soon realized just how much I did in the store as it disintegrated before his eyes and closed in less than three years.

Yes I was a shop assistant! My boss didn't want to give me the day off for a family function. I took it off anyway and he fired me.
My mum called the store manager and threatened to sue so I got it back!! lol
I asked for a transfer because he was a d*ck anyway and got that too. I stayed with the company for another yr and a half after that before I got a better job.
He didn't lol...

Yes...Project Admin., I got fired because my son was extremely ill and I had to keep leaving to take him to see the Dr. and/or to the ER for throwing up blood and they fired me because I didn't give them enough advanced notice, um, like I am psychic and would somehow know my son would be ill that day.....I would have understood if they had said "well she has to keep leaving so she cannot perform the duties she got hired to do", but the excuse that I did not give them enough notice when I left the office and/or could not come in, was just silly.

Yes from a market research company I was a telephone interviewer ( the annoying people who call you with lots of questions! ) and I got fired cause I kept calling in sick and was late all the time.
Boring job....I kept falling asleep!

I got fired from my job as a taxi driver, for scaring my customers to death. I guess I should lay off playing games like Crazy Taxi, and Burnout Revenge!

I got fired from my last 2 jobs. Both times for calling my boss a moron. you'd think I'd learn to keep my mouth shut.

I got fired from Olive Garden when I was 18 because I dumped a bowl of pasta on some guys head. He shouldn't have grabbed my a**!

I was fired from McDonalds as a teen ager because I did not "smile" enough....Yeah, like I was happy to be working there. I did however smile when I was told I was no longer needed there.

i got fired, well kind of, from the thrifty nickle. i was delivering the papers and didn't feel like doing it anymore so i threw the rest of the ones i was supposed to deliver out on the highway in between cleburn and glen rose.... i got back to the warehouse and they told me not to come back... what a relief!!!

No, but I have been "laid off". I was a receptionist for a marketing research company, and they switched the phones to an automated system and decided they didn't need a receptionist anymore.
