And the birth control you are on is?

You can have breakthrough bleeding, or that could be implantation bleeding.

If you are concerned talk to a doctor.

You can get "break through" bleeding (annoying but it happens). Definitely don't stop taking your pills or you will make matters MUCH worse. You can go see your doctor to make sure there is nothing wrong or you can wait through your next cycle. If it happens again on your next cycle go see your doctor for sure. It's possible that particular pill might not be right for you or it could be something else.

Dear bella_am, Birth contol by hormone chemistry is a guessing game in terms of the strength of androgen to use to supress endometrial lining growth vs. breakthrough bleed. In order to minimize long term effects of oral BC, the strength of hormones have decreased. You need to talk to your medical provider to choose a combination pill of higher strength or a different option.

Have a safe journey!
