I agree! If they know they will make millions making another movie, they will continue on until they don't get any more movie goer's!!

Disagree. The movies are interesting unlike the same old stalk and slash like the Friday the 13th franchise or the Halloween franchise. The last Halloween was abysmal and the Friday the 13th series ran out of ideas after the first one. It was the same formula all the way through.
Freddy lost steam really quick too but with Saw there are a lot of twists and turns which is what the other films didn't offer, just new kids getting killed with little or no reason for why.
I didn't enjoy Saw 4 as much as the others but it made you think and when you left the theater you had to figure out the trick behind it, many people have revealed that in the answers to other questions. Anyway, as long as they are interesting and keep you guessing, they will probably keep getting made and people will keep going to see them.
I'm waiting to see if they are going to make the dead "jigsaw" a twin and the other twin is the one that's really doing the set ups. Who knows where it will go, but I'll be at the theater next Halloween to watch again!
If it continues to leave the audience guessing I think they will keep being made. It's more than just blood and guts, there is some thought behind these flicks which is not the same thing that can be said for a lot of the other franchise horror movies. Moving Jason to Manhattan and then space for a movie was ridiculous.
The only sequel out of the Friday the 13th series I want to see made is a Freddy Vs Jason Part 2. That might be fun and campy like the original otherwise those movies have run their course and should be retired.

I LOVE the SAW movies, they actually have some THOUGHT behind them. If they were like all the other "horror" films out there, then yes, I'd say enough is enough. But these films are intricate and complex and require some thought to figure it out. And I think the sequels are amazing, unlike most other movie sequels the SAW sequels are just as good.
Besides they can't stop making them until they resolve all the questions.

Agree. OMG, I'm sick of Saw! Enough is enough. It is sooooo over rated. At this rate, Saw is going to catch up with the number of Friday the 13th sequels in a couple of years. At least it took Friday the 13th almost 30 years to come up with 11 sequels.

As long as the public is paying to watch this type of movie ( with gratuitous violence ) the production companies will continue to make them.I like a good horror, thriller and suspense movie too but I think it is better to leave a little to the imagination.Does anyone recall their emotions while watching "Wait Until Dark,The Birds or the original Psycho?" How many of today's slasher movies can compete with that on a long term basis?
