I need help! Pregnant or not?

Question

My period is 4 days late. My husband and I have had regular sex during my fertile time...Im not on the pill....For the past week off and on I have had that brown spotting....never enough to use a tampon or anything...I took 2 preg tests before period due date and both were negative. My husband thinks Im pregnant but if I was wouldnt the test say positive and I wouldnt be having this brown stuff??? Im confused!

Usually your hormones (which is what the tests look for) don't start soaring until after implantation, which is usually around ten days after conception.

Wait another week, and try again.

Did you two use any other form of contraception? Most home pregnancy tests will not show that you are pregnant before your period is supposed to start, you have to wait until your period is late. Now that your period is late, try testing again - try one of the more expensive brands like First Response, these detect the smallest amount of the pregnancy hormone. I was about 4-5 days late before I got a positive, but it was a very very faint line.

Also, sometimes women can still have their period (or spotting) while pregnant. Good luck :)

My period was 5 days late and I took two home pregnancy tests. Both came out negative. I had the same type of spotting you are talking about. I also had mild cramps.

5 days later, I took another test and came out positive.
To retest, I took two more test, and I'm really pregnant.

The pregnancy hormone doubles every day. Give a few days and take another test. In the mean time, avoid all the bad things like smoke, alcohol, raw food, medicines, etc.

some people dont have enough HCG in their urine before their period is due. I would suggest taking another test in a few days. Or call the dr to get blood work. I have never had the brown stuff as you have described. It is possible you are going to get your period you are just late. But you wont know until 1. your period starts or 2. you take another test. U very well may be pregnant I missed my period took a bloodtest a month after I missed and it came up negative but I knew I was pregnant then I waited another cupple weeks took a 99cents test it came up positive so I took another blood test it finnally came up positive so yesu could be pregnant those test just suck sometimes give it time and wait it out but don't anticipate to much it could make ur period not come more if ur not pregnant becaue ur stressing out hope this helped

You might be I would wait another couple of days and test again. If it is still negative then you need to go the doctor and get a blood test done.

wait a week, take 3 more pregnancy tests, if two of the three are positive, then you're prego, if only one is or none, then you're prolly not, but go to a doctor to be sure, but four days is nothing, and sometimes, these things can be phsycological and your brain might be thinking your prego and you're not and that will sometimes make your period late. nature is cruel, i know, my girlfriend had the same thing, except her period was a week late , but as it turns out it was just one of naturwes tricks.

If you are that worried, go to a Dr's and get a blood test from them, those are way more accurate than HPT.

You might just be stressed, it usually becomes late if you have something in your mind, maybe stressing about being pregnant. Just relax, you might start in a couple of days :)

Do not trust any test taken before you were late! If you are worried, re-test. Or better yet, call your DR and explain them the problems and go in and ask a PROFESSIONAL what is wrong.

There can be a false period if you are pregnant. ( I know) I would say get first response ( my fav) and check it first thing in the morning. Your body has been fermenting it all night and it is easier for the test to read.
