omg some of you americans are so ignorant. lol.. 'bumbleclots and rasclots'... first of all, u spelt them wrong and i wont spell them correctly for you here at risk of being reported due to ignorance. 2nd, u dont know what the words mean or else you wouldnt be calling anyone that.
First 3 answerers have the best answers, thats one guy, many men (and women) out there are selfish and think about nothing or no one but themselves. Your boyfriend just happens to be selfish and Jamaican. Not all are. I certainly am not.
You should talk to him about it and as a Jamaican I believe he will be upfront with you about whether he will change for you or not and if thats the case then obviously you should find someone else. Dont count out other yardies though because a lot of us have good hearts

It has nothing to do with him being Jamaican. He is selfish just because that is his nature. You won't be able to change this, only he will. People are raised with different thoughts and values of woman and their role. I am from the Caribbean also "P.R" and I seen my father rule everything and mom did not have the voice. Well I broke that cycle and my husband and I are equal because that is what I expect. If he did not think that we would not be together. Maybe you should look for a better quality man who wants you to be his equal and not always about him. It will only get worse. Imagine with children...OMG. Good Luck
