I was just notified that a question I asked in Politics was yanked.
It was a tongue in cheek question about a child reaching the age of reason and realizing his parents were democrats, should the child run as far from home as possible.
Naturally, this was in jest. I believe one of the problems facing this country is we're losing our ability to laugh at ourselves. The democrats preach free speech until it steps on their toes.
Do you agree with the question being yanked?

I do not agree with it being yanked. If it kept within the rules yahoo have set out, they had no right to yank it, and it is an absolute violation of your free speech. I would complain loudly to them.

Certainly not.In fact I didn't even agree with you.I said poeple should be allowed to hold their own beliefs. Why they yanked it is incomprehensible to me.I was under the impression that as long as we adhered to the language standards of the community any question regardless of content should be allowed.Ole Tom Paine would be screaming out the windows in Colonial America.I believe you have a right to be angry as hell.

My Answer was yanked which talked about the idiot from texas being instrumental in creating genocide in a continent 90% of americans would never visit. So I guess it is not demorcrat or republican ..yahoo is very sensitive to any politically extreme view.

Why is it that people think free speech means that you have a blank check to say anything you want? How do you think defamation suits happen. I haven't seen the question but here's the fact - this is not your playground. This is Yahoo's playground and they make the calls. If you don't like it, get your own playground where you can be as free as you want to be.

I do not agree with that action. But after all, yahoo has the thinnest skin of all.

They are very sensitive. There are probably thousands of them calling their therapists at this moment because of your inconsiderate actions. You need to apologize, tell them you feel their pain, and make generous donations to MoveOn.org immediately.

for some reason "offending someone" cancels out your free speech, sorry. Just thank the dems on your way out.
