How can the USA push for dividing Israel's land? It will not help. Hamas and Hezbollah will not let up. God even has in Scripture "they divided MY land."
God calls a portion of the Middle East land, His land. Condoleeza Rice and our President need to stand down on dividing God's land. They need to move the US Embassy to Jerusalem where it should be. They can't possibly worry about offending Arabs because I believe we've offended every Arab in the Middle East by now. One thing the USA must do and that is stand by Israel.
God won't tolerate anything different from us.

A lot of ignorant responses. Here are some facts.

1. There has never been a Palestinian nation west of the Jordan river. There is one to the east of the Jordan river. It is called Jordan.

2. The land west of the Jordan river is now occupied by descendants of the original inhabitants of the land. Canaanites who became Israelites and then later called Jews as well as Canaanites who intermarried with the Israelites of the Bible.

3. Most of the residents of Israel have ancestors with uninterrupted presence in the area going back throughout all of recorded history - in excess of 3500 years.

4. The Arab populations are entirely more recent immigrants.

Would we be considering Jordan and the other Mideast countries as "Arab" if the Arabs hadn't ethnically cleansed the non Arabs and non Moslems out of the area when they conquered the area? If you want to send everyone back to the country of their ancestors, Jews would get all of Israel, West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, and some of Syria and the Arabs would get Saudi Arabia. I think that most Israelis would be very happy with the deal.

Jeancomm, clearly you do not know your history. It was ALL theirs before the 1949 United Nations resolution gave away 55% of their land to the Israelis - and no one asked the Palestinians for permission. So why should they ask for statehood when it was already theirs? What they have done is to try and end the abuse they have received by getting a date that they can start looking forward to having firm lines that are internationally recognized and hopefully respected byt he Israelis. The Israelis are only able to get away with this apartheid because of the support they receive from the USA, which means you as you are clearly an American!
