This seems an odd question. Surely the answer is obvious and doesn't only apply to children.
Clear communication leads to clear understanding and less confusion when a person has to deal with the situation themselves.
I suppose you could directly link this to children by assuming that the communication on specific issues is a way of setting boundaries and guidelines for behaviour.

Most of the time it is just to hear yourself talk. What is clear communication to a child. Say something to ten kids and one might understand what you just said. Clear communication to a child can only be realized in seeing that for sure the child understood and is reacting in the manner that demonstrates understanding. And anything that falls short of that is not anything but talk.

Clear communication: so the child understands; they're brains don't always understand those big words, you know. Speak in a way that straight and to the point, so it's easy for them to understand.
