I don't find it really scary but the part that did kind of scare me was when her mother was trying to kill her and she was grinning with that knife in her hand. Her was just really crazy, Carrie herself didn't scare me.

Well, the first time I saw the hand popping up out of the grave scene, it sure got my attention.

No it is not a scary movie. It is a movie that shows when fanatical ideas take over ones life and how cruel and mean some people can get, And also points to if you push some one too hard you may get a big shock one day,
So you must feel sorry for Carrie because she was treated bad and pushed to the limits and then snapped
Think of this movie before you be mean to the next person who knows what they are capable of.

No that movie didn't scare me, especially with the special effects now a days, that movie is not scary!! BUT back in the day~it was suppose to be one of the scariest around~

The part that made me jump was the ending, when Carrie's hand comes out of the grave and grabs Amy Irving.

The scariest was the ending, only because it was unexpected. And when I saw the movie (eons ago) it was at that point that they opened the exit door letting in the light of day. Otherwise, it was not scary.

The hand popping out of the ground, after U think it's all over, did make me jump with a slight fright -- totally unexpected! It sort of reminds me of the early scene in Jaws where they first come upon the sunken boat & the head pops out!

Creep me out maybe but not scare except the very last scene where the hand comes up out of the ground. I felt sorry for her.

I saw that movie again last week since it came out and was scared out of my mind. Carrie was beyond crazy.

it was more creepy than scary. the part at the end when carries hand comes out from the grave is scary.

No, but most movies dont scare me. I love the movie though, I watch it every Halloween. Definitely a great movie.
