since when is most of the regular season played close to the noon hour? How would people go to games if that were the case since only second and third shifters along with housewives and the unemployed could attend? 99% of regular season games in Cleveland had a start time of 7:05 PM, including Saturdays. Sundays were generally at 1:05 PM and they had a few "businessman specials" that began at noon. I agree the playoffs should not start so late but lets not be ridiculous here and think half the working stiffs in any given city would be able to take time off of work to go to a playoff game or sit in their offices watching it on TV or listening to it on the radio. It would be absurd to have them during regular working hours for the majority of America.

Back only about 40 years ago, the World Series was played primarily in the daytime. I forget when the League Championship Series and World Series went entirely to prime time night games, though.

I think they should start around 7 pm for the East coast. If a game goes to extra innings, it would be easier to stay up ans watch. Plus, games don't usually start at 8 during the regular season unless it's the Sunday night game. They should stick to the regular time.

That makes no sense, how would us working folk watch the Series if they played it a 1:05 or 3:05? I think there would be no problem with starting it at 8:00 though, starting it at 8:40 is crazy.
