I wouldn't want to live in a vegetative state either. Must be a sensitive subject for her. Maybe it was like that for someone close to her.

Speaking as a very active 70 year old (working 9-5 every day in an office and management). I'd say "let me pull the plug--but my way". If that situation is in the near future for me, I'll make my own arrangements, and leave this world with dignity. Faye

funny! I love TV. I watch all the CSI's and the ones in Miami, not the ones in New York. I love Without a Trace, all the cooking shows, Survivorman,Hallmark movies and all the detective and mystery shows, I still love Murder She Wrote, and PBS's mysteries,I wish they had more.I also love horror movies, most I've seen but once in a while there is 1 I haven't seen.I don't watch daytime TV,I hate talk shows, especially anything about politics,I can't stand Oprah, although I do like Nancy Grace at night.

Yes, too some extent. I like morning TV--Rachael Ray, Martha, and the View. The TV is usually on, but I couldn't tell you what's happening half the time. Sounds like you and your friend have a lot of fun--made me smile.

Good! Here we have 3 tv's going and 2 computers. WE pretty much crave entering the vegatative state zone.

LOL...thats funny...I guess we all live in a vegatative state to some extent..tv shows, movies, video games, excessive reading, online for hours...perhaps life is so cruel it would be better if it were virtual.

No. that's not bizarre. while my cat became right into a kitten, he could spend hours observing a splash youngster coach referred to as Connie the Cow. as quickly as we became it off, he could run faraway from the television set till we placed it back on.
