I asked a question and got ALOT of useless information. I found out the people that replied to my questions are quick to assume and post the "answer" before they even research the question which in the end resulted with incorrect answers... all of them. Most people were immature and rude and because of that alone I will never ask a question on yahoo again. If you feel the urge to reply to this go ahead but make sure I can reply back to you...

I think your disappointment is due to the fact that you placed too much expectation on a question and answer format that is open to the public - and free. Like the lady said in your first answer - you've got to sort through the stupid stuff to find the jewel.

I've only asked a couple of questions, and those were just to read interesting opinions about certain topics. If it's really important for me to get some valid answers or information, I research the Internet myself. Even at the library there are tons of self-help books to borrow. Hope you find your answer.

I have experienced the same problem and frustration. And it gets more frustrating when the "community" decided that one of the not so wonderful answers is best answer. Do not let this experience jade you from yahoo answers, there are many capable, intelligent people who do answer.
If you are so inclined I would suggest you voice your concerns with yahoo answer customer service. They are unable to fix a problem if people don't tell them it is going on, and they rarely if ever actually read the boards unless they are asked to because of a problem. I hope that helps, Ame

The yahoo answers was open to anyone, may be immature and rude people too, in your own terms.

There were some guidelines for everything.

There were guidelines fr forming yahoo groups.

For elections of political leaders to run Governments.

To walk or ride in a street.

To ask questions too.

At the same time there are some good persons who are giving sensible answers out of their knowledge or by browsing for an answer.

People who answer several questions, do not assume are vagabonds or with out any business. It takes lot of time to browse and give answers with satisfaction. Many a time their knowledge and personal caliber makes them to answer instantaneously.

Have you ever seen several questions, which are sometimes difficult to make out, because of very bad English.

Some questions invite vulgar answers. The question itself running vulgar.

Some questions are in fact useless for the questioner or any one.

As a matter of importance, questions should be such that they should be useful to so many browsers.

I find some questions are casual, insipid, boring, purposeless, with out logic, and answers also swell as the question was. But never I have commented on the behavior of the questioners. It is now brought out because of your questioning the answers.

Do you know that the questioner has an obligation to put his question in good English, constructed to the extent that, it should reveal the mind of the questioner.

Correctness cannot be guaranteed, Even when you browse web, there will be words "edit". The information was given there by experts, and still if a knowledgeable person finds mistakes he can edit the information.

If you put a limitation that the answer should stand to verification and truth, how do you expect to get so many answers. It is good to get as many answers as possible. It makes people to think, to widen their knowledge.

If you stop sending questions to Yahoo., the Yahoo will not be closed for you. it is you alone who will suffer.

Now I request you one thing. First get yourself cool, cool and cool.

Try to send good questions to Yahoo.

Don' intend to test the answers. If you know answer don't send the question.

You try to give answers also, and while so doing you will come to know the difficulties of answering. Be a nice person. Tis Yahoo answers is not to make all of us quarrel among ourselves, but to make a good atmosphere, a friendliness, an opportunity to get answers to questions, mostly to increase confidence levels in both asking questions as well as answering them.
It is good that you came out angrily, having not satisfied with answers for your own questions. Now think on what all I said above and return yourself as a good person. I trust you are a good person. But you are vexed with some unfortunate answers. O.K.

Best of luck dear friend,
I must be older to you and hence
let me bless you to be successful in all your activities.

Well, as the old saying goes, "Ya get what ya paid for."

What you are describing is an inherent problem with YA. I look at it as sitting around a table with some friends and strangers and asking their opinion. Some will give you thoughtful, intelligent opinions. Others will be jerks. You just have to filter through the crap to find the occasional jewel.

Sorry you feel that way but what can you really expect from the internet.
The majority of people on here are doing it for points/fun.
I would suggest www.askmehelpdesk.com they are a bit more strict when it comes with dealing with people. Good luck.

I heartily agree, I think most people are ignorant about most subjects, but as in life - people who do the most talking are the people with the least to say - so people just blurt random opinions out.
