People can be gay because of reasons ,such as
Different sexual interests
Personal sexual preferences
Personal Choice
Personal live experiences(rape ,abuse)
Some religious and medical people have said there is a gene that decides who will be gay etc .But i think this is just a way to explain the problem as a physical thing and there fore possible to change them ..
Dose it really matter why ,how people are gay accept them as part of society and let them live their own lives

I've heard some people say that they were just born that way and others say that they were molested as children and that's why they are the way they are. But, what does it matter? I mean I'm not gay but I have gay friends both male and female and that's just who they are. If they've accepted it why is it so difficult for other people to accept. You may not agree with their lifestyle but it's not up to you and as long as they aren't imposing what they believe in and how they live on u then there really shouldn't be your problem.

It was first theorized that homosexuality is purely a social phenomenon. With this theory, homosexuals become homosexuals because of their social environment, how they were raised up, how they were treated by other people, how they find themselves within a society. Also, this theory suggests that they could have not been homosexuals given a different situation on how they grew up.
However, some scientific researches lately claimed some genes in our DNA determine our sexual behavior. They claimed that homosexuals most probably became homosexuals because of their genes. Some prefer to say that it is because of both the genes and social factors though.

Scientific researchers who specialize in human sexuality have shown that homosexuality is linked to biology and genetics.
An October 2004 scientific research publication stated that scientists at the University of Padua have found that women tend to have more children when they inherit the same genetic factors linked to homosexuality in men. This fertility boost more than compensates for the lack of offspring fathered by gay men, and keeps the “gay” genetic factors in circulation.
A 2005 study reported genetic scans showing a clustering of the same genetic pattern among gay men on three chromosomes - chromosomes 7, 8, and 10. The regions on chromosome 7 and 8 were associated with male sexual orientation regardless of whether the man got them from his mother or father. The regions on chromosome 10 were only associated with male sexual orientation if they were inherited from the mother.
A study published in Human Genetics in February 2006 examined X chromosome inactivation in mothers of gay sons and mothers whose sons were not gay. Researchers found extreme differences between women who had gay sons and women who did not.
Another 2006 scientific study said that researchers have known for years that a man's likelihood of being gay rises with the number of older biological brothers, but the new study found that the so-called "fraternal birth order effect" persists even if gay men were raised away from their biological families. The older-brother effect was constant regardless of whether the men were raised with natural, adopted or stepbrothers. It also didn't matter if they weren't raised with their biological mothers.

Just think of it this way...why are some people straight? The answer is they just as, the same with people who are gay. It's not about choosing sexuality, it's just how people are.

They are gay by a series of conscious choices. They will always tell us that they were born that way however the Lord has an entirely different view. people who engage in homosexuality do so as a result of a series of poor choices on their part. they will always attempt to justify their actions with various excuses however this was the very reason the Lord destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Christians are not surprised at the increase in homosexual activity in the world today as we are told in the Bible that in the last days this practice would become rife and that the Lord would give them over to a reprobate mind to do those things which are convenient.
