I need two dollars for lunch money but I keep on loosing the other dollar.

Not many two dollar bills were printed in the first place, so when people get them, they try to save them. By saving these two dollar bills, it takes money out of the market and hurts the economy. Also, two dollar bills are pretty much pointless.

Toot's answer is a good one. Additionally, two dollar bills were considered "bad luck" by some people. Two dollar bills were also used to buy votes in elections early in the twentieth century, so people with two dollar bills were suspected of selling their votes. For these and other reasons the two dollar bill was not very desirable to a lot of people (except for collectors).
