I'm glad you asked that question. Usually, I like to pick a whole day to have to myself, where I'll go into town, walk up and down the streets, visit the library or museum, go shopping for some new clothes, treat myself to lunch at some little place, Shop for a few things that are just for me. Usually I try to ignore the vulgar, annoying or even mundane things such as errands to pay bills etc. Those are almost never done on Me Time. After I come home, I'll walk my dog in some area with pretty scenery and then read, listen to music or play on my computer. In the evenings, I like to take bubble baths and watch my favorite television shows on dvd. Some days I'll do a facial and have my hair and nails done. That's always nice.

I am a Christian and I agree with a lot of what your saying. You need to remember that even though we confess ourselves as "saved" we are still sinners. The difference is that if we are truely saved we are moving away from our sinfull "worldly" nature. And what some Christians don't realize, or try and down play, that they will have to stand before the White Throne of Judgement and give an accounting of their life. We are told to build up our treasures in heaven not on earth. Christians that work deligantly for the Kingdon on earth will be rewarded in heaven. Those that don't, won't! There still saved but may live the life of a pauper for eternity. This doesn't mean that a devoted Christian must do nothing of the world, like work. By living a Godly life I can be a good witness to my co-workers. But I agree, a good Christian example is not living one life on Sunday and another the rest of the week. Christians shouldn't boast that they are better. We have the same struggles with sin and morality. The difference is we've confessed our sins and asked for forgiveness as we strive to live more like Christ with help from God.

Star Gazer lilies or tuber roses...the scent is totally
intoxicating. Also, a day wandering around The
Monterey Bay Aquarium or spending a couple of
hours at the bookstore, taking in a movie in the
middle of the afternoon or looking for sea glass
along the beach. If I want to really be bad, I get
a huge chocolate eclair and hope I don't get
arrested by the sugar police.

Peppermint carnations are beautiful and flowers are a fantastic way to reward yourself. Personally myself I love to buy flowers and do so when I am feeling a little down or just want to see the beauty of them. I also buy them for others just because since I truly believe that we should send flowers to all so they can enjoy their beauty.

My husband and I go to Denver and shop all day, we have a great time, that's the nice thing about having grown kids, and still being realitively young ourselves, we have so much fun when we spend a day together, so that's a reward for the both of us.

After seeing the other answers, mine seems a bit simple.
After dinner I like to take my guitar and a glass of wine, into the kichen, on my own and just play whatever comes to mind.
An hour of this tends to leave me feeling pretty good.

I take a few days off from work and basically do nothing productive whatsoever. This gives me an opportunity for self-reflection and mental clarity from all the stress incurred from day-to-day life.

I indulge myself in whatever catches my fancy at the moment. It could be shopping online, a wonderful nap, over-indulgence in eating goodies, having the works done at a salon - hmm, it seems I reward myself quite often lol.
