Very few women would have the honesty to accept it, if they do feel hot for their sons. But almost all women fantasize, sometimes abt much younger men like pizza boys or sons' friends but do they consciously imagine their most loved ones getting intimate and making wonderful love to them....? Isn't emotional attachment a strong ingradient of sexual attraction ?

It is good to give socially acceptable responses but the fact remains that a significant portion of pornography is now consisted of incest material. Why? Because there is market for it....and all audience of mom-son incest can't be male. So, possibly some percent of the 'consumers' are from the fairer sex...

adding to what Bill suggested: why do we hear more women openly expressing their love for their fathers than men doing the same for their mothers..? Has electra complex, which was studied and coined later by Freud, overtaken Oedipus complex.. or the society represses expression of love and affection for mothers by grown up males?

Incest is sometimes a necessity to ensure survival of the genes. When on a deserted island, the only way to have babies might be for a mother to have sex with her son. Generally, a mother is too old for that, or a son too young. This means that the latent tendency for a mother to desire sex with her son is small. This still means that mothers sexually abuse thier sons sometimes, but the latent sexual desire there may be different. Nobody really understands pedophilia. A mother desiring to be serviced by her grown son is something different, and probably not healthy, because the only purpose it serves in a big gene pool is to reinforce a mutant gene. But maybe that's what the human race needs to move to the next step in our evolution - you never know. Even with the latent desire to have sex with thier sons being so small, a population of billions means that many, many women will have these fantasies. Men don't need an excuse to desire everything fertile around them. Thier bodies just want to shoot sperm everywhere. Women are supposed to be selective, but love is (oddly enough) the thing that makes a woman settle for someone. In women love ensures that the search for a sperm donor doesn't last until she's infertile, and that she'll chase after the man when he leaves. In men love ensures that the guy will stick around long enough to make sure the baby makes it to childhood. Love is a strong ingredient of sexual attraction, but it tends to be an afterthought (as is anything other than baby-making).
Yes; some women do fantasize about having sex with thier sons. According to the laws of probability, there must be many, but not a large portion of the population. Whatever the perceived motivation for these fantasies is, the fact of the matter is that it's just chance that this usually unneeded desire will come out.
Men? Men will fixate on anything and everything. It doesn't matter as long as it's pregnable. Why do some men go against society to fantasize? How else would they get thier genes into obscure gene pools?
Perversion is natural.

Let's back up just a tad. The electra complex is the other side of the coin for girls - who love daddy too much and/ or got mixed messages from daddy (and, sometimes, mom) about dad's availability. It gets played out all the time, in the 'dance' of the younger woman who is 'hot' for the older guy. If dad breaks the taboo and incests her; there is profound psychological damage. Just as there is if mother breaks the taboo for the boy. I think of jamie lee curtis in the movie 'bad mother' as the epitome of this wickedness.
And the taboo is the attraction !! The lust to break the rules and to defy the taboo is the attraction. I have no idea what goes on in the minds of girls (of whatever age) and their desire for the pizza or pool boy. I suspect they just want to get laid.
I doubt that your premise that mom / son porno. has increased is accurate. There are a whole lot of boys who have been 'failed' by mom and "want to lay with her". Porn is a way to play the fantasy out. How did mom fail, you ask? She is supposed to lovingly and gently let the lad know that she is NOT available for him, in that way. However, she was either at work, with the girls, running hither and yon or otherwise distracted and did NOT get the job done. Another form of 'seduction' by the mom is to "keep her all to herself", thus, we have the momma's boy. As it's easy to become accustomed to being taken care of. Of course, there is psychological heck to pay. And he's irredeemably lazy; with lots of woman hatred perking.
To the poster, who make the declaration that the Oedipus complex has been proven 'empiracally' to be false. Bull butter, it has not ! A few 'shoddy scientists' have proclaimed that is is false; but Freud took the idea and the name from Greek mythology. And the myth still has numinous power today. At our current level of 'science' it cannot be proven or disproven. Nor should it be; see Newsweek (approximately one year ago) for the article on Freud and some of his ideas.
No, emotional attachment does not equate with sexual attraction; in fact, it is the opposite. One doesn't lust for family because they are FAMILY. Unless one is sick or evil.

I had to laugh when I read your question. My son has grown into a very handsome young man, but bless his heart he reminds me too much of his dad (my ex) that I would really much rather forget! At times I see a bit of family resemblence from my side (mostly my dad), but something about the cocky attitude and mannerisms just triggers this bad flashback (almost like post-traumatic stress disorder)! I suppose it would be more endearing if his dad and I were happily married, and I have heard more than once other moms remark about seeing their husbands in their sons in a similar way. Most of them, like me, see it more in their annoying boyish habits than as any sort of attractive quality. I suppose what you are asking about does happen, but it's not true in my case, and no one I know has ever admitted thinking or feeling something like that to me. I will say that I think my mother-out-law is WAY too crazy about her son (my ex). I used to tell him that it was emotional incest the way she doted on him and depended on him for stuff. She was always doing things to get attention and planning these elaborate parties and she would want him to play his guitar and sing these sweet love songs in honor of her----weird, huh? Well, guess what, this year will be his 50th birthday and she and his new wife have this big surprise thing planned and they've been orchestrating all this stuff and made my kids come down and record a video singing. Sorry, got way off track, but in a way I guess that's kind of what you are talking about--she was way too wrapped up in both her sons and pretty much rejected her only daughter & that whole family is weirded out.

What? I think that you have miss understood something. But I have heard that if a man does dream about their mother in that way it is simple because sex is the most intimate emotion you can share with someone on more than one level. So in dreaming this, it means you have a desire to be closer to your mother. Not to mention most men marry their mothers in a sense.
