In my area NPR's best station is 88.5 FM..
I love Sunday's beginning at 7 pm. where they air the BIG BROADCAST....old radio shows such as: Johnny Dollar; Dragnet; Gunsmoke; Nick Carter; Gangbusters and Mercury Theatre, to name a few

I don't listen to radio at all. Thanks for telling me, though. I'll make it a point to hear what I've been missing! I used to love all those shows (no TV until the mid-1950s.)

I did for many years until their news got a bit too out on the left for me. I even helped get KPBS in San Diego on the air in the early 1960s.
As for those old time radio shows, I'm a big fan. Let me share some trivia with you about "Gangbusters". Some of those were introduced by the man who was serving as the head of the New Jersey State Police at the time. His son became rather famous: H. Norman Schwarzkopf, Jr. The General who led our forces in Operation Desert Storm in 1991.

Every day. You do mean National Public Radio, right? Do you listen to any of the current shows? Sounds of the Carribean, Morning Edition, Science Friday, Klick & Klack (the car show), Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, Prarie Home Companion & SO many more.

I'm an at-home dad still learning how to do stuff while watching my 7-mo. boy. NPR is on all the time and is great when I need to keep my eyes on the kid. NPR has it all: news, commentary and entertainment. To save money, the wife and I opted to go without cable TV. But with NPR, who needs cable? It's all junk anyway.

I don't listen to it regularly, but have in the past. Where I
live, in MD, 88.5 is NPR, too.

I have listened to it many times. I don't care for it that much because it leans to the left. Its not unbaised news reporting. Especially anything coming from the UK. Granted, there are many wonderful people in the UK, but their news organizations lack equality and fairness.
