My husband quite his job and the employees and boss gave him a party, they got him a cake and card, 99% of the people wrote good luck and just signed their name, but there was one that hit me the wrong way - Here is what she wrote-
I know that you'll exceed in anything you do!
Luv ya,
and then she signed her name.....

I have work in a lot of places and I have signed alot of co-workers cards when they've left work, but I've never signed their card with Luv ya and I never seen any other women sign a married man's cards that way either..

my husband's always told me that he only hung out with a few "guys" at work...........
so on that note, I'm just wanting the opinion of some other women

Nah, I wouldn't worry about it. In offices we spend 8 hours a day, five days a week with our co-workers. We get to know about their lives and often become good friends. It sounds like this woman simply got to know your husband well over the years.

In my office the women often sign cards with hearts and luvs and things of that nature. We're just friendly and close.

I wouldn't think much of it. Because a lot of people that he worked with signed the same care, I don't think she would write "Luv ya," for all to see and make something of it. Some women just have their own way of signing things and maybe she signs all cards like that. Unless you have reason to believe there is something more other than this, then I can see you thinking more of it.

I do not believe that the woman meant anything but good intentions here. I have always signed my cards with love to everybody in my entire life. It has always been my way...I am just a caring person about all the people that have crossed my life. So I honestly believe that the woman is probably that way to. I would not worry about it and give it another thought because your husband loves you.

some people just sign that way... others, hmmm... perhaps she had a crush on him but this was her only chance to let him know... I know a lady whose husband got a birthday card from the people at work, and this one lady signed the card, "see you at the crazy horse (saloon)"... he said everyone went to the crazy horse from work except for him... it was their way of trying to get him into the gang... but, he never went... this is just stupidity on this ladies part...basically, noone should sign a card "luv ya" (even if nothing was intended to hurt anyone) unless it's your mother, or spouse, or sister, lol! I am sure it's nothing to worry about... and if you ever see this lady in person, watch her...lol... personally, I would only sign a card like that w/ "good luck"...

I think your blowing this out of the water dear. She could have that personality on being the type that says luv ya to everyone! Like me, I call everyone "honey". Down in southern Louisiana, everyone, even the bankers and high society call everyone "Baby".

Her "luv ya bit, could mean she had thought he was a good worker, knew he was a good worker, and just letting him know in her way that he would be missed there!

I sign my letters to my female friends and sign, luv ya! I sign letters to my dad saying luv ya. I have signed cards at work to my employees or employers luv ya............they were mature enough to understand I would miss them, carrried about them, thought they were a slect of few of the totum pole.

Get over it. Nothing to worry about ok.

I will bet the woman who wrote this is very young or very sweet, but I wouldn't be overly concerned with her. Some people at work are more caring than others its all personality. She may be the type to be more vocal or the huggy touchy type. If there were feelings to hide she certainly wouldn't have put it down on a card signed by the entire office.

I would say it was nothing. 'Luv ya' to me is not a declaration of actual love, it's more of a flippant expression.

If she had signed 'No worries, we'll be fine, I love you with all of my heart' that would be different. Relax. Besides if it was anything you wouldn't have seen the card.

I think you're reading a little too much into that. First of all, if he had anything to hide, I doubt he would have let you see the card in the first place. Did you ever suspect anything before you saw this card? If not, then let it go.

And I BET you scanned that card good for any little teensy thing to throw in your husband's face.

What that woman wrote sounds entirely INNOCENT to me....tell me, do you think if he was messing around with her she would be displaying it on a card EVERYONE is passing around and signing?

Geez, jealous much? The women just sounds like she really enjoyed working with your husband as has faith he will do well moving forward in the world.

Maybe you should follow suit and develop the same attitude.
