Have you bothered to look at the stats?
Colts yards per game 140 rushing, pats 135.
Colts yards per carry, 4.4 pats 4.2

The colts have been slightly better, but not by any reasonable margin. The Patriots dont rely on the run as much as the colts, they can throw at will, but how do you back up the statement that the Patriots cant run when the difference between the two teams is so small?

Oh So Cowboy Vic, when you talk about the Colts having the second rank defense in the league why dont you include the fact that they have only played 2 teams this season who average more than 20 points per game, and in fact only one team they have played averages more than the lowly Miami dolphins per game.
When you mention the Colts 1 Pass defense do you forget that the Colts havent played a teams starting quarterback for two strait weeks. In fact, both the quarterbacks the colts have played for two strait weeks are 3rd string material, who wouldn't have a good pass defense?

Cowboy Vic, name one team the colts have played that could beat the Dallas Cowboys at Dallas? We all know the Colts cant, so who have the Colts played that could?

Cowboy Vic, I also did take your advice and look at the run defenses that both teams have played. In the Top 10 you have 3 teams the Patriots have played. Number 1 team is the Titans who the Colts played, however no other teams the colts have played are in the top 10 rushing defenses.

Look at the quality of teams that each has played. The Colts just went against the two of the largest defenses in the NFL with Jacksonville (the largest) and Carolina (one of the largest). Who have the Patriots played? Hmmm...let's see. Miami (0-8), the Buffalo Bills, the New York Jets, etc. All among many of the worst teams in the NFL. If you run against teams like that and still can't get as good of yardage as the Colts who are in the division with the highest winning percentage. Then that's not a good sign in the running department. And you know against the Colts that most of your yardage is going to have to come from the running game and not the passing game like most of their previous games. The Colts defense is specifically designed to stop the pass with their very fast cover 2 zone defense. Statistically the Colts are #1 in defense against plays for 10 yards or more. Most of Brady's plays and yardage are gained from plays that are 10 yards or more. So what works against most other teams is not going to work against the Colts. The Colts just have too good of a defense defending against what Brady is good at this year (the long pass).

If the Patriots can't utilize the run their chances of winning go way down.

Dave, let's carry the statistics even further.
What were the NFL ranks of those defenses the Pats played.
I suggest you compare them to the defenses the Colts played.
If your going to quote stats, do it right.
Also, let me ad a little log to this fire.
Currently based on the total statistical strength of opponents, the Pats are a junior high team when compared to Indy.
To Dave, virtually every team Indy has played could beat Dallas at home, even the Saints the way they are playing now.
Also, the same could be said for the defenses the Pats have played.
Finally, other than the helpless Redskins, check the margins of victory over opponents.
While the Colts are scoring less, they are also allowing less.
0-6 Miami scored more on the Pats than ANY team has scored on the Colts all year. They even put in their backups against a Carolina team with a wining record without allowing more points.
Face it, the Pats are Colt wannabes.

I never said they couldn't run, my observation is that they don't do a lot of running in the 4th quarter to control the clock. While other teams, who are leading by 3-4 TDs, will exercise clock control, they are still acting as a quick striking offense, whereas the Colts are working to run down the clock.

I think the Colts do have more rushing TDs though.
