He just accepted the offer. I think he's a better fit than Don Mattingly.

This is the best thing that could have happened to the Yankees. Has anyone been watching the yanks during all their World Series wins. They had youth, they had heart, none of them could sit on the bench during a game in the playoffs. These last few years with the "old" Joe and a bunch of veterans, this team has just shown up and expected to do well cause "hey we are the yankees". Meanwhile Torre just sits there and says " i dont need to tell them what to do they are professionals". Well it seems they do need to be told cause they don't even get out of the first round. Torre had to go, just like some of these veterans on the team. Good by A-rod, thank god. He can't hit the low and away pitch, hmmm just like Soriano. Hey isn't it funny the cubs didn't go anywhere with him either. We have great talent coming up and an aggressive manager who knows how to motivate at team. Watch out MLB, Girardi will awake this sleeping giant....

Just because you put a question mark behind a statement doesn't mean that becomes a question.

Why kind of answers are you expecting?
Yes!
I didn't hear that!
Oh really!

If you said "Joe Giradi is the new Yankee manager. I think he's a better fit than Mattingly, what do you think?" at least that qualifies.

I would agree he is a better fit than Mattingly but not close to the ability of Torre.

Or, if you go by Girardi's last experience as manager, he'll overwork young pitchers to the point of potential career threatening harm.

If those that interviewed him was blow away by what he bought to the table then I can only assume that he's the right fit for the team and will give them the new jolt they they need and long for.

I agree. Girardi has experience and he knows the team. Who better than a former Manager of the Year?
