If I'm getting married in 2012, then it is indeed the end of the world.

There have been SO many dates pinpointed, again and again throughout history. But the Mayan date, well, that's a whole different kettle of fish.
The Mayans were the MOST advanced people of their age, in terms of astrological sciences. They classified time, in a series of "ages." We are currently in the 3rd age. WHICH, according to their calendar (accurate to a few seconds, and established thousands of years ago), ends December 21st, 2012; there will be a conjunction of astrological bodies, unprecedented. What affect this will have is anyone's guess. NOW, what their histories do NOT say, is, if this is actually the end of the world, OR the beginning of the 4th age.
I'm betting on the latter. :)

I don't believe it's the end of the world but I do believe that something major is going to happened and change the world as we know it. It could be good or bad.

Could be! The way that the Bush Administration is handling world events these days, armagedon may be coming sooner than expected (although I don't think he is the anti-christ...just a minion/slave). Nah...no bunker for me. I'd rather die by the bomb.

The Bible says only God knows when the end of the world is! Anybody else that tells you when that will happen is a false prophet!
