The Australians are the worst. Always saying how good there country is and how good the weather is and how lousy we are at cricket and how they want independence and how they hate the monarcy. God they can whinge. The Americans, They are so much in our shadow that you can't see thhem, always telling the world that if it was'nt for them etc etc. Always trying to put us down in there films, They have one serious complex. Then theres the French, Lets not go there with them. When is everybody outside of the UK going to realize that England is the center of the world? It has been for the last five hundred years and will be for the next five hundred. In war we have beaten or occupied almost every country so what have we got to prove now? What do you want? our blood? We are the greatest nation that the world has ever seen and nobody Isay nobody will ever come close. They cant. Stand up all you non believers and argue the point, Lets see if you have the bottle.

I'm from the UK & I can tell you that England is far from the centre of the world. I can also tell you that you are an idiot because:

1: Australia are independent
2: You have a problem with the French but don't expand on it.

England ISN'T the greatest nation the world has ever seen. If you want to talk Empire's then perhaps the British Empire was, but then this also includes Scotland & Wales.

I'm interested to see how many other people agree with my point of view.

Because they are jealous. And let me tell you something; Australians are some of the most stereotyping, culturalist, snooty people you'll ever meet. I know, cause I've been to Australia. It's true, Australians have a lot going for them. It's one of the best countries a person could be lucky enough to be born in or able to migrate too. Their standard of living is better than in the U.S.A.; however; they need to come down off their high horse just a little.

I'm a U.S.A. citizen, born, raised and currently living in the country

We was once a great nation but because of this and what was done in the past people hate us

While trying to get rid of traditions in our "barbaric uncultured" (I'm not saying they are just that was what the English thought at the time) neighbouring countries Scotland, Wales and Ireland we lost our own traditions and sense of patriotism, no-one knows how to be English anymore thanks to our politicians of the past and present we are not allowed to be because of what was done in the past, instead of being proud of the accomplishments they made, we have to be sorry about it, I think people seem to forget that England was not the only country in Europe that did those things and conquered other countries by force

Ah damn! i am not an european or USA but you just sounded a bit silly to say england is the center of the world and occupied almost every country. Hell no! my country was never occupied by england and we have nothing to do with england. Center of the world? Ah no, how?

I'm not very keen on the English either for example in the sporting world IE athletics if an English person wins the commentators say 'the English have done it again' but if the Scottish person wins they always say great Britain has done it again why cant they just say well done Scotland

Not all Americans hate the English. Most of us (the white ones at least) identify with them and the rest of Europe.

Think it may be something to do with the Empire, not a lot of people like being invaded, even if it does make us seem big and clever at the time, which it did back then.

I think we put peoples' backs up against us English because we have a Superiority Complex. Many English people tend to look down on other countries as less cultured and civilised, so that's bound to put their backs up.

You are that clever that you think England is the only country in the UK.
